Last night on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the comedian did an in-depth analysis of Trump's recent feud with the #TakeAKnee protests. Funnily enough, the president did not come off well.
Meyers looked at the strange development of this story with the help of comedian Amber Ruffin.
The analysis covers Trump's initial (and slightly bizarre) call to fire NFL players who take a knee and the subsequent backlash. Star athletes like LeBron James and Stephen Curry have given their voices to calling the president out for his comments, and Trump's even managed to alienate wealthy supporters of his such as Dan Snyder and Bob Kraft.
The key quote of the piece however came from a tweet from Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy, in which he calls Donald Trump an "asshole", an opinion which Myers reiterates with enthusiasm.
Now, you might think calling a head of state an asshole smacks of childishness. On the other hand, considering this particular head of state said "get that son-of-a-bitch off the field" of any NFL player who protests peacefully by taking the knee, McCoy can probably be spared putting a penny in the swear jar this time.
