Iowa's 2020 caucus was an absolute train wreck and a half, thrown into pandemonium by an app reportedly designed to make the whole process easier. Instead it made things much, much worse, significantly delaying the results and making Democratic voters understandably nervous.

"Remember that horror movie in 2016 where everyone was confident and then it all went to hell?" said Late Night host Seth Meyers on Tuesday's episode. "Way to let everyone know that Jason [from Friday the 13th] isn't really dead!"

Reporters spent the night desperately trying to find out who won. Yet the lack of information didn't stop Pete Buttigieg from tweeting that "by all indications" he had won Iowa, a claim he may or may not come to regret once more than 62 percent of the votes are actually counted.

It was such a sideshow that Meyers even joked this would be Iowa's last caucus.

"When you blow it this bad, you don't get another chance. Nobody's going to make Hot Rod 2," said Meyers, incurring the wrath of the film's star Andy Samberg. Who happened to be on set. Hilarity ensued — and hey, if you don't laugh...
