Articles of impeachment have finally been brought against President Trump, but it seems not even that could quell his delusional blustering.
On Wednesday's episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, the host picked apart the "deranged" Trump rally that took place in Pennsylvania on Tuesday. As per usual, Trump used the event to ramble on about how great and special he is, stating that if it wasn't for him the U.S. would be full of windmills knocking birds out of the air. Really.
The President of the United States also predictably attacked anyone and anything he perceived as against him, downplaying the number of impeachment articles and calling it "impeachment light."
"You're either impeached or you're not — there's no 'light' version!" exclaimed Meyers.
However facts, logic, and evidence have never stopped Trump from just saying whatever pops into his head before, and they weren't going to start now. The president thus repeated his claim that America is well-respected internationally due to his presidency, as opposed to when "everybody was laughing" during the Obama administration — despite recent events telling a very different story.
"Dude, it was literally last week that a bunch of world leaders were caught laughing at you in a group chat during the NATO summit," pointed out Meyers. "Including your buddy [British Prime Minister] Boris Johnson — and if you're getting laughed at by this guy you know you are an idiot."
