Despite the very real challenges of repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act, President Donald Trump remained publicly confident at a Republican Congressional Committee fundraiser held Tuesday, saying "I think we're going to have some great surprises."
On Thursday night, Late Night host Seth Meyers laid into Trump and the GOP's health care scramble, joking: "Because that's what you want when it comes to health care: Surprises."
He also took on changes added to the bill Wednesday night would eliminate the Essential Benefits Package included in Obamacare, which includes maternity care and hospitalization.
"That's right-- Republicans think that your insurance plan shouldn't be required to cover hospitals," he said. "But don't worry, every American gets one free ride on the cart that picks up your dead."
