The conversation around Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle jeans ad doesn't appear to be slowing down, with President Trump now having weighed in on social media regarding the criticism the ad has received.
"In a post yesterday on TruthSocial, President Trump said, 'Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the hottest ad out there. It's for American Eagle and the jeans are flying off the shelves. Go get 'em, Sydney,'" says Seth Meyers in the Late Night clip above. "Oh my God, he's so happy there's a current, young, famous person who votes Republican. I feel so bad for Kid Rock right now. You know he's getting left on read this week."
Meyers isn't the only host who's responded to the right wing reaction to the ad. Earlier in the week, Daily Show host Desi Lydic also shared her thoughts on the Republicans who've been defending it.
