For all Donald Trump talked about the Constitution in the 2016 campaign, he sure talks about it like someone who insinuated that they'd read The Goldfinch in casual conversation at a party and now has to keep up the pretense even though they never got past the third chapter.
As Seth Meyers explains in Wednesday night's "A Closer Look," not only does Trump bring up his misinterpretation of Article 2 all the time, he and his supporters are also now trying to convince people that impeachment — a process which is literally laid out in the Constitution — is itself unconstitutional.
"He's gonna be so shocked if he ever reads the Constitution one day," jokes Meyers, shifting into a mock Trump voice. "'Let's see here: Oh no! Oh no. Oh boy. High crimes and misdemeanours? I did both of those this morning!'"
