New 'Shazam!' trailer proves this delightfully silly movie is really happening

Considering Aquaman, Captain Marvel, and Avengers: Endgame all hit theaters within the same six months, it's hard to imagine any superhero attempting to compete -- least of all Shazam.

And, yet here he is: confused, unevenly confident, "basically 15," and ready to fight that bald guy.

Shazam, otherwise known as Captain Sparkle Fingers, appears in the film's second trailer as the bulked-up, lighting-bolt sporting dude fans of the comics and TV show know and love.

But with the movie's Tom Hanks in Big twist, Shazam's antics seem more pubescent than powerful. Only time will tell if this Eminem fan, amateur YouTuber, and first-time beer-buyer has what it takes.

Jack Dylan Grazer and Zachary Levi star in Shazam!, in theaters April 5.
