"As a sex positive polyamorous pansexual, monogamy never even seemed like a remote possibility," Nola Darling (DeWanda Wise) says in the first trailer for Netflix's She's Gotta Have It. The 10-part series returns to director Spike Lee's roots just over 30 years after his black-and-white drama of the same name premiered in theaters.

Nola is like any Brooklyn woman, juggling her friends (Margot Bingham, Chyna Layne, and Elise Hudson), her job, and her dating life, which just happens to star three men: Greer (Cleo Anthony), Jamie (Lyriq Bent), and Mars (Anthony Ramos in the role Lee original played). But don't put her in a box.

"I'm not a freak, I'm not a sex addict, and I'm damn sure nobody's property," she declares at the end of the trailer.

She's Gotta Have It releases Nov. 23 (Thanksgiving) on Netflix.
