Ruth Paxton's new psychological horror isn't your typical possession movie.

A Banquet follows a mother (Sienna Guillory) and her two teen daughters, one of whom, Betsey (Jessica Alexander), suddenly becomes convinced that her body has come under the control of a higher power. She starts refusing to eat, but he body doesn't change at all.

If you're hungry for a new horror, this one looks like it'll be as much about the family drama as it will be about the scares. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and is now finally streaming.

A Banquet streams on Shudder from May 26.
