Shudder's gory 'The Pale Door' trailer splices witches with western outlaws

There are a desert-load of great western movies out there, and there are also more awesome witch flicks than you can shake a broomstick at. But what if you want both at the same time?

Enter The Pale Door. Aaron B Koontz' latest Shudder offering takes real 19th century outlaws the Dalton Gang and places them in a coven masquerading as a brothel. The result is a mashup of gunslingers and witches that we never knew we needed, the trailer for which suggests gore and action aplenty.

If you're worried the concept sounds too ridiculous, you probably needn't be. If this film's anything like the tone of Koontz' previous Shudder offering, Scare Package, then it's unlikely to take itself too seriously and should hopefully be a lot of fun.

The Pale Door drops Dec. 17 on Shudder.
