High school has always been kind of like a horror movie, but Snatchers takes it to a whole new level.

The new series, produced by digital content platform Stage 13, will make its world premiere during the Sundance Film Festival's Midnight Showcase on Jan. 21, and Mashable has an exclusive first look at the comedic thriller.

After status-obsessed teen Sara (Mary Nepi) loses her virginity, she wakes up nine months pregnant—with an alien. (Awkward.)

The only person she can trust, without ruining her newfound popularity, is her nerdy ex-best friend, Hayley (Gabrielle Elyse). Once the snatcher emerges, carnage ensues, forcing the duo to enlist the help of a conspiracy theory–obsessed alpaca farmer to put an end to it before all hell breaks loose.

Snatchers is the creation of the writing/directing team the Olde Money Boyz, including Stephen Cedars, Benji Kleiman and Scott Yacyshyn.
