Dave Chappelle may not always say the right thing, but when the man is on point it cuts straight to the heart.

In a 16-minute opening monologue on Saturday Night Live, Chappelle – who last hosted the show in 2016, the weekend after Donald Trump was elected as U.S. president – takes a long look back at 2020, and an even longer look at race relations and racial injustice in the United States. It's sickening. It's hilarious. It's vintage Chappelle. Weaponizing comedy against a thoughtless status quo is what he's always done so very well.

You probably won't agree with everything he has to say. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't watch. That's the whole point.
