Saturday Night Live is giving us fans a backstage peak at the well-oiled machine in their "Creating Saturday Night Live" behind-the-scenes series.
In this installment, watch the brilliant SNL makeup team completely transform Kate McKinnon from Jeff Sessions into her 'Shud the Mermaid' character in four minutes flat.
McKinnon runs straight from the "Weekend Update" desk to the makeup chair, where the team has only one commercial break to apply face and hand prosthetics to McKinnon to turn her into the unfortunate looking sea creature.
It's obvious this isn't the team's first rodeo when it comes to this kind of true TV magic.
