If at first you don't succeed... maybe stop trying to force the issue? Jeez.

The latest Saturday Night Live delivered a sketch in which two soon-to-be-fired employees stand side-by-side as they offer apologies to the office for their behavior. One of them, an executive, committed fairly mild offenses but is reviled by all. The other, a "sweet," old black man who works the front desk, is still loved by all even after spending the holiday party making lewd comments to everyone.

If all of this seems familiar, that's because it is. SNL aired almost the exact same sketch in 2017, with the only difference being James Franco playing the role of hated executive. It was bad then and it's bad now. For most of the same reasons, too!

I wrote about this at length in 2017, so I'm not going to restate all of it here again. But this sketch is just as awful as the last one and it's downright weird that SNL tried to bring it back.
