There's a moral to this story: Please don't burn down your opposing team's city, sports fans.

Pete Davidson has come to this assembly of Founding Fathers in 1775, to bring us tidings of a momentous win at Bunker Hill by the American colonies against the British. Welcome news indeed! And joining the celebrations are a group of patriots from New England, where the battle was won!

Leading the horde of heavy Boston accents was none other than Rachel Dratch – whose "Boston Teen" persona "Zazu" appeared in numerous sketches over the course of her tenure on the show. The group of red, white, and blue-clad colonists are boisterous in their praise of "Captain Thomas Brady," who overcame an armada of Brits to rally for the win.

Stop me if you've heard this one. Because he's apparently done it five times – at war, that is.

"Patriots of New England, you have truly achieved remarkable success," assembly president Beck Bennett says. "But I believe I speak for this entire chamber when I say, just shut up!"

Not to be outshined, a modest delegation from Philadelphia – you know, because Philadelphia was just as important during the Revolution, guys – headed up by Tina Fey. "Fly Iggles Fly!" they chanted (that's Philadelphian for "Eagles"), with a basket full of hoagies from WaWa.

The battle of the accents was almost as good as what we'll no doubt see at Super Bowl LII Sunday night. If only the fans of whichever team wins would be cool about it.

"Just because the British don't burn your city, doesn't mean you have to," Bennett pleads.

We should probably say goodbye to Faneuil Hall and the Liberty Bell now though, just in case.
