Ever since M. Night Shyamalan's Split, audiences know that if James McAvoy pops up in a trailer with ominous music, they are in for a very dark and very wild ride. And we can assure you that's the case with his latest, Speak No Evil.

Blumhouse's American remake of Christian Tafdrup's critically heralded thriller of the same name begins with two young families becoming friendly after meeting on a sunny vacation. But things turn sinister when one family visits the other for a long weekend. The horror creeps in as the visitors excuse increasingly bizarre behavior in the name of politeness, leading to a harrowing climax and what's sure to be an absolutely twisted ending.

In this version, directed by Eden Lake helmer James Watkins, Scoot McNairy and Mackenzie Davis play the visiting couple, with Alix West Lefler portraying their 11-year-old daughter. McAvoy plays the father of the visited family of three, with Aisling Franciosi as his wife and Dan Hough as their young son.

All the scary secrets will be revealed when Speak No Evil hits theaters Sept. 13.
