Well the Super Bowl halftime show certainly....happened.

Spongebob fans everywhere, who were hoping for a 'Sweet Victory' tribute to honor the show's late creator Stephen Hillenburg, were less than thrilled at what we ended up getting. This included YouTuber Gus Johnson, who decided to make this hilarious parody of how the halftime show decisions-makers completely missed a prime opportunity to make everyone happy.

It wasn't enough that we were all subjected to Adam Levine's nipples and snooze-worthy stage presence, our SpongeBob dreams had to be crushed too.

Congrats Super Bowl, you SOILED IT.
