The internet has recently been locked in a fierce and important debate over whether or not 100 men could beat one lone gorilla in a fight — and now, thankfully, Stephen Colbert has weighed in.

In the clip above the Late Show host summarises the debate so far, before turning to his "100 men cam" and addressing the men directly.

"Hey fellas, thanks for taking a break from referring to food as 'fuel'," he says. "I just want you to know that on the whole gorilla thing, you're never going to win. You know where they got the phrase, 'It's on like Donkey Kong'? From Mario's closed casket funeral."
