Well, the first of two Democratic presidential debates is in the can. Oh, you missed it? Never fear, Stephen Colbert is here to wrap things up for you -- "if Bill de Blasio does not interrupt me."

The Late Show host unpacked the highlights of the debate, which featured ten 2020 candidates including Elizabeth Warren, Beto O'Rourke, and Cory Booker among others, along with five moderators, and an immediately memed moment of Spanish.

"The biggest early moment was a linguistic surprise from Beto O'Rourke," Colbert noted. "Not entirely sure why he felt he had to do that. He's either trying to lock up the Hispanic vote or he's running for embarrassing dad at a Mexican restaurant."

It's a great wrap-up of the twists and turns of the debate. "There were challenges, they talked over each other, there were some technical difficulties, but it was an excellent dress rehearsal for tomorrow's actual debate," Colbert joked.
