Stephen Colbert's dog makes glorious cameo in his latest home monologue

Stephen Colbert's latest home monologue — which includes a coronavirus update, a bit about face masks, and some thoughts on Donald Trump's lengthy press conferences — is full of stuff that's very much worth watching.

But the bit that really stands out is a certain canine cameo.

After reading a story about a woman who trained her dog to deliver groceries to a neighbour, Colbert invites his spaniel Benny into the room to try the same thing.

The tricky part? All Colbert's important notes appear to be written on slices of ham.

Benny is very, very happy to take them off his hands, though.
