Monday's solar eclipse brought with it plenty of media buzz, but during his Late Show monologue Stephen Colbert drew particular attention to Fox News' over-the-top coverage — and the network's decision to use the eclipse to try and scare viewers on the topic of immigration.

"Oh yes. Immigrants in dark clothing are using the eclipse to sneak across the border," says Colbert in the clip above. "They won't get another opportunity like that...until night."

He also took some jabs at a fan-made Trump video which shows the sun being eclipsed by a giant silhouette of the former president's head.

"That is a hell of a campaign message," Colbert says before launching into his Trump impression. "I will bring darkness upon the Earth, blocking out all the light-giving warmth, driving the animals to stark madness."
