The impeachment inquiry into Donald Trump may be almost wrapping up, according to a letter sent by Rep. Adam Schiff to members of the House of Representatives announcing that the impeachment committee's report would be done "soon after Congress returns from the Thanksgiving recess."

Stephen Colbert is gearing up for this holiday countdown with his very own "impeachment advent calendar," revealed on The Late Show on Tuesday. The calendar sports the design of the White House, with each day of December represented with a little door.

"Every day you open a door and you get a piece of candy," Colbert explained. Day 1? Wait, there's no candy, just a rolled up note saying, "You'll get your candy, but I would like you to do us a favor, though."

This'll go nice and festively with Colbert's 'impeachment tree'.
