Stephen Colbert imagines Trump's reaction to the big impeachment announcement

Tuesday was a big day for the U.S., with the Democrats finally taking to the stage to unveil formal impeachment articles against Trump.

But what was going through the president's mind while he was undoubtedly watching the press conference?

"I'm sorry, I wan't listening," says Stephen Colbert in the clip above, busting out his best Trump impression. "Was that an article of impeachment? I'm sorry, I never read the articles, though I do enjoy the impeachment centerfold, though. Oh, I gotta say, Miss Demeanor's got a pair of high crimes there."

Colbert goes on to read out Trump's Twitter reaction, before adding his own imagined addendum.

"You can't impeach me, the economy's so good," says Colbert/Trump. "Plus I don't always do criminal things — sometimes I just do fun, silly goof ups like covfefe and hamberder. You'll miss those, you'll miss those."
