Jimmy Fallon makes a solid attempt to interview Only Murders in the Building stars Steve Martin and Martin Short in the Tonight Show clip above, but his questions are met with a wall of roasts.

"Of all the late night shows this is the easiest one to fall asleep to," says short the minute Fallon has thanked them for being on. "Your comedy is just brilliant. It's true, I was watching the monologue. To me your comedy is like crypto — I don't understand it, but I admire it."

After a couple of minutes roasting Fallon, Martin and Short then gleefully turn on each other, piling in joke after joke while barely answering a single question with a straight answer. Fans of Only Murders... will have a special appreciation for it.
