"We're not in Hawkins anymore."

On Monday, Netflix confirmed the fourth installment of the Stranger Things franchise with an ominous teaser. The 45-second clip doesn't reveal much about the fate of our favorite characters, but promises big things for Matt and Ross Duffer, the creative duo behind the successful property.

In addition to signing off on another Stranger chapter, Netflix has signed a multi-year film and series deal with the pair, allowing them to bring their talents to stories outside the Upside Down.

“The Duffer brothers have captivated viewers around the world with Stranger Things and we’re thrilled to expand our relationship with them to bring their vivid imaginations to other film and series projects our members will love,” said Netflix's Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos.

"We are absolutely thrilled to continue our relationship with Netflix," the Duffers added. "From our first pitch meeting to the release of Stranger Things 3, the entire team at Netflix has been nothing short of sensational, providing us with the kind of support, guidance, and creative freedom we always dreamed about. We can’t wait to tell many more stories together — beginning, of course, with a return trip to Hawkins!"

At present, Stranger Things 4 does not have an expected release date — and little is known about what else the Duffers are cooking up. But like Mike said, "If we're going crazy, then we'll go crazy together, right?"
