The Stranger Things producers have repeatedly promised "justice for Barb" in season 2. At the Comic-Con panel today, a special someone showed up to hold them to that.

Shannon Purser – a.k.a. Barb herself! – made a surprise appearance during the Q&A portion of the panel, and she had just one inquiry on her mind.

"Is Barb going to be in season 2?" Purser wanted to know.

Alas, the producers did not have good news for Purser. "No," they said (for approximately the eight millionth time). "But there will be justice for Barb. Barb will be avenged."

Poor Barb. But then again, this world never was very kind to the poor dear. Stranger Things Season 2 hits Netflix on October 27.
