A group of students came to the rescue of an adorable koala that needed rescuing due to minor flooding of the Murray River in Victoria, Australia on Sunday.
The students were canoeing along the river near Ulupna Island when they spotted a koala in a tree, according to the video's description. At first, a student got closer in order to take a photo of the koala, but then noticed it trying to board the boat. Eventually the group pushed the boat towards to the koala so it could make its way back to land safely.
"Once he was back on dry land, you could see his back legs were wet so we guessed that he has maybe tried to swim back to shore but decided the current was maybe too strong," the description reads.
The little buddy didn't mind hanging with his rescuers for a bit before going their separate ways.
