Taylor Swift helped commemorate Pride Month with a surprise appearance at the iconic Stonewall Inn on Friday night. Swift performed an acoustic version of her 1989 hit Shake It Off with a vocal and butt-shaking assist from the event's host, Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Ferguson emceed an evening of performances that also included Sara Bareilles, Gavin Creel, and Lea DeLaria to mark the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising that helped set in motion the modern LGBTQ rights movement.

Swift's performance came less than a day after the release of her new single "You Need To Calm Down," a song that delivered a clear message to her detractors while also voicing her support for GLAAD and the LGBTQ community.
