See Tesla's Cybertruck roll through the streets with Elon Musk and Jay Leno

Why does the Tesla Cybertruck sport bulletproof glass, you ask? It's "badass" and "super-cool," according to Elon Musk.

Let me warn you all up front: the audio in this teaser for Elon Musk's upcoming appearance on Jay Leno's Garage is *badly* out of sync with the video. (UPDATE: Audio sync is now fixed.) But if you want to see what it looks like when a Tesla Cybertruck takes to the streets, this is your chance.

That's right, Musk returned to the Garage to give Leno some quality time with the Cybertruck prototype. Although the futuristic-looking pickup truck won't be going into production until 2021 – at the earliest, though our ongoing global pandemic could certainly disrupt that plan – the prototype is ready enough for Leno to get behind the wheel.

Musk reiterates the plan for the eventual release version of Cybertruck to be slightly smaller, so home garages can better accommodate it. He also tells Leno that the electric pickup's glass will be bulletproof simply because it's "badass" and "super-cool." Last time we saw the glass, it definitely still needed work.

The clip ends with Leno and Musk preparing to take the Cybertruck through The Boring Company's Los Angeles tunnel. You'll be able to see if it fits – and catch the rest of the interview – when the latest Jay Leno's Garage episode arrives on Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. ET.
