Keeley Hawes plays an assassin out of retirement and on the run in Europe in Prime Video's new thriller series, with a trailer out today.

Created by The Tourist's Harry and Jack Williams, The Assassin sees the Miss Austen star as Julie, a woman whose hit days come back to haunt her all the way to a stunning Greek island — along with her estranged son Edward (Freddie Highmore). But they won't stop there, with mother and son fleeing a conspiracy across beautiful European cities and addressing their relationship along the way — and who, exactly, Edward's father is.

Gina Gershon, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jack Davenport, Alan Dale, Gerald Kyd, Devon Terrell, Richard Dormer, and David Dencik also star.

The Assassin is streaming on Prime Video on July 25 in the UK and Ireland, U.S. dates TBC.
