Donald Trump went on a panel with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) in Chicago this week, which quickly resulted in him criticising interviewer Rachel Scott's introduction, moaning about starting late due to an apparent equipment fault, and then claiming he's been "the best president for the Black population since Abraham Lincoln."

"For most politicians, or anyone else on Earth, that would have been the low point of the interview. But because it's Donald Trump it somehow got worse," says Daily Show host Ronnie Chieng in the clip above.

Cue a clip of Trump going on an unhinged (and just plain false) rant about vice president and unchallenged Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris' racial identity, in which Trump unfathomably said: "She was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black. So I don’t know, is she Indian or is she Black?"

"I don't know what's worse," reflects Chieng on The Daily Show. "That he thinks she turned from Indian to Black, or that he thinks someone should 'look into that.' Who should look into that? Does he think the FBI is the Federal Black Investigators?"
