If calling a politician out on their policies, or their track record, or even their felony convictions doesn't seem to be sticking with voters, what's the next step? Well if you're Kamala Harris going up against Donald Trump and JD Vance while riding high on Brat summer, that tactic seems to be: just call them "weird".

"Now, calling someone 'weird' is a bit of a downgrade from, 'He tried to overthrow democracy.'" says Daily Show host Ronnie Chieng in the clip above. "On the other hand, you know, that message didn't really stick. I mean Democrats spent four years being like, 'Hey, remember January 6?' And most Americans were like, 'We don't remember, and/or care.' So now Democrats are like, 'Hey, wasn't trying to overthrow the government kind of weird? Like who even does that?' And now people are like, 'Yeah, I guess that is kind of weird.'"
