Academy Award winners Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne star in Tobias Lindholm’s upcoming true-crime thriller The Good Nurse, based on the horrifying true story of serial killer Charlie Cullen.

Adapted from Charles Graeber’s best-selling book with the same title, The Good Nurse unpacks Cullen’s 16-year-long career as a nurse, during which he shifted from hospital to hospital, leaving a trail of mysterious deaths in his wake. Amy (Jessica Chastain) soon befriends Cullen (Eddie Redmayne) on the job, but quickly realizes the looming threat within him. As patients keep dying from injected insulin, eyes turn to Cullen, who’s revealed to have worked in nine hospitals with similar circumstances.

A true story of a system that fails its victims, The Good Nurse is a star-studded retelling of the single nurse who overcame all obstacles and stood in a murderer's way.

The Good Nurse premieres in select theaters on Oct. 19, and on Netflix Oct. 26.
