The newest trailer for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes transports us to Panem's 10th Hunger Games, where, a young Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth) is desperate to prove himself.

Not yet the evil president we meet in the Hunger Games series, 18-year-old Coriolanus is the last hope for the once powerful, now war-impoverished Snow family. He gets a chance to raise his family name out of the rubble when he's chosen for a new mentorship program for the upcoming Hunger Games. His task? Turn his tribute, District 12's Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), into a spectacle worthy of the Capitol's favorite child massacre. But as fate would have it, natural performer Lucy Gray has a few tricks of her own.

The trailer teases Lucy Gray's skills with a snippet of Zegler singing "The Hanging Tree," a song first featured in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1. We also see glimpses of Lucy and Coriolanus' partnership and her time in the arena. Will these two pull off an unlikely victory?

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes opens in theaters Nov. 17.
