Saddle up, Lord of the Rings fans, and get ready to ride for ruin and the world's ending, because we are headed back to Rohan.

The kingdom of the Horse-lords takes center stage in the upcoming anime film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, directed by Kenji Kamiyama and executive produced by Peter Jackson. Set 183 years before the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The War of the Rohirrim introduces us to mighty King Helm Hammerhand (voiced by Succession's Brian Cox) and his fierce daughter Héra (voiced by Gaia Wise).

When Dunlending lord Wulf (voiced by Luke Pasqualino) attacks Rohan to avenge the death of his father, Helm, Héra, and all the Rohirrim will make a heroic last stand in the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg, aka Helm's Deep. Get ready for intense sword fights, battles between horses and oliphaunts, and the return of Miranda Otto as Éowyn, who serves as the film's narrator.

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim hits theaters Dec. 13.
