On Sunday, following up on the mini tease delivered last week, Universal Pictures released the full-length trailer for the latest Tom Cruise film event, The Mummy.

If the earlier teaser left you with any doubts that this reboot of the ancient movie franchise was any good, Cruise does his best to dispel all fears. Although it's a departure from his usual spy action and sci-fi fare, Cruise somehow manages to make his trademark high knee sprints, showing of bare chest and unlikely escapes from certain death work in this trailer for the supernatural thriller.

That doesn't mean the full film will deliver Cruise's usual cinematic thrills, but as a trailer, it's encouraging. The Mummy, which also stars Russell Crowe and Sofia Boutella, hits theaters on June 6, 2017.
