When The National's singer Matt Berninger brought a balloon on stage during the Best Kept Secret festival in the Netherlands, it didn't go as planned.
While the band played "Terrible Love," Berninger leaned into the balloon and accidentally popped it -- while still singing. Scaring himself with the pop, he yelled straight into the mic mid-song.
Considering how dark the song itself is, the scream was perfectly out of place. You can even hear Berninger laughing at himself on stage.
