If you're into destination wedding comedies, especially ones about being dragged there and bitching about your family, here's one with a great cast.

In The People We Hate At The Wedding, Kristen Bell and Ben Platt play siblings Alice and Paul, whose estranged half-sister (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) is getting married in England and sees it as an opportunity to bring the family together. So they're reluctantly put on a plane from the U.S. with their mother Donna (Allison Janney). As is the custom for these types of set-ups, especially being sent to weddings of people you don't particularly like, there's plenty of family drama (and copious amounts of wine) set to bubble up.

Directed by Claire Scanlon and written by Lizzie Molyneux-Loglin and Wendy Molyneux, this adaptation of Grant Ginder's novel looks like fun from the trailer, washed down with as much fancy white as Bell can swig in one dinner scene.

The People We Hate At The Wedding is coming to Prime Video soon.
