The Prom is 2018 Broadway musical about a teen girl banned from taking her girlfriend to her small-town Indiana prom. Awful stuff — but when a bunch of washed-up Broadway actors hear about the story, they realize it also presents a wonderful PR opportunity. They'll head to Indiana and throw the girl a prom themselves, and enjoy the subsequent fawning media attention. A win-win for some out-of-control egomaniacs.

The Ryan Murphy Netflix adaptation of the sweet musical comedy packs a ton of star power: Meryl Streep (!), James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Kerry Washington, and Andrew Rannells head up the all-star cast.

Fans will be able to dance along at home when The Prom hits Netflix Dec. 11.
