Paul Rudd is the world's worst psychiatrist in trailer for Apple TV's 'The Shrink Next Door'

Paul Rudd has always seemed like a great guy, but in Apple TV+'s upcoming limited series The Shrink Next Door, his charisma becomes a sinister weapon.

Rudd stars as titular shrink Dr. Isaac Herschkopf, who manipulates and exploits his patient Martin Markowitz (Will Ferrell) over decades. While Martin trusts Dr. Herschkopf completely, his hard-headed sister Phyllis (Kathryn Hahn) is not so easily swayed. The trailer shows Dr. Herschkopf abandoning all pretense of ethics and worming his way into Martin's life, a breach in the doctor-patient relationship that becomes even more frightening when you realize that this is based on a true story.

The first three episodes of The Shrink Next Door hit Apple TV+ Nov. 12, with new episodes weekly.
