The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, bringing a second season of The Wheel of Time ever closer.
In the first trailer for the new series, we see what the future holds for our heroes — and it looks dark. (Fitting, given that darkness has been unleashed upon the world once again.) We see how Rand (Josha Stradowski) is processing the news that he is the famed Dragon Reborn, while Aes Sedai Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) swears that she will dedicate her life to protecting him.
Elsewhere, Egwene (Madeleine Madden) and Nynaeve (Zoë Robins) return to Tar Valon to begin their training as Aes Sedai, Perrin (Marcus Rutherford) begins to reckon with his strange connection to wolves, and Mat (Dónal Finn) deals with the pesky draw of the cursed dagger he picked up in Shadar Logoth.
As our heroes continue their individual journeys, the trailer also introduces a new villainous force: the invading Seanchans, teased in the finale of Season 1. Between them and the looming darkness, it's clear we're in for a season of major strife — bring on the battles.
Season 2 of The Wheel of Time premieres Sept. 1 on Prime Video.
