Netflix's The Thursday Murder Club adaptation is almost here, with a rollicking new trailer out today.

Based on Richard Osman's beloved novel and adapted by Katy Brand and Suzanne Heathcote, the film promises mystery and murder in Kent retirement village Cooper's Chase. Here, four crime enthusiasts (and former spies, psychiatrists, doctors, and activists) — Elizabeth (Helen Mirren), Ron (Pierce Brosnan), Ibrahim (Ben Kingsley), and Joyce (Celia Imrie) — solve cold cases on Thursday afternoons.

But when a real crime occurs, the j'accuses will fly around the neighbourhood through a star-studded lineup of suspects and investigators, with Naomi Ackie, David Tennant, Jonathan Pryce, Richard E. Grant, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell, and Ingrid Oliver rounding out the cast.

The Thursday Murder Club arrives on Netflix August 28.
