Trevor Noah has a thoughtful take on the real impact of mass shootings

Remember when Trevor Noah tore into Neil deGrasse Tyson's response to the mass shootings in Texas and Ohio?

Well, in the segment above from The Daily Show, he's shared more thoughts on the aftermath of mass shootings -- and the real toll these horrific events can take on society.

"In some of the conversations I've seen online people seem to be focused more on the numbers of people who have died, as opposed to the total number of people who have been affected," says Noah, before going on to discuss the recent panic in Times Square over a motorbike backfiring.

"What is the effect of these guns having on America?" he asks. "The people of the country -- what is happening to them? And genuinely, over and over again I see people fight, 'It's about the constitution!'

"I'm like yeah, but the constitution's supposed to be for the people. If the constitution's not protecting the people, then what is the point?"
