The first full trailer for Netflix's The Trial of the Chicago 7 is, in short, enraging.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 chronicles the legal battles of eight (later seven) individuals who organized a peaceful protest that turned violent in the presence of police and were subsequently charged with conspiracy to incite a riot.

In the trailer, we get a glimpse of Judge Julius Hoffman (Frank Langella) and his complete lack of fair proceedings particularly as it related to Bobby Seale (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), a Black defendant and co-founder of the Black Panther Party. The judge's racism and biases ring in clear, frustrating tones.

The Trial of the Chicago 7 hits Netflix Oct. 16.
