'Rick and Morty' co-creators' bizarre VR game gets new trailer and release date

The new trailer for Justin Roiland's upcoming VR game is giving us some serious Interdimensional Cable vibes -- but on acid.

Trover Saves the Universe is the Rick and Morty co-creator's solo project from his newly launched Squanch Games studio. While the plot is hardly the point in this bizarre comedy, the press release mentions saving your dog (and the world) from some asshole named Gorkin.

Does anybody else smell a John Wick crossover?

The trailer also comes with the release date announcement, so you can expect Trover Saves the Universe to be out on May 31 for PS4 and PSVR, then June 4 for PC.
