In 1996, Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton brought storm-chasing to the big screen with Twister. Now, Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People) and Glen Powell (Hit Man) take up their disaster flick mantle in sequel Twisters, directed by Minari's Lee Isaac Chung.

The film centers on former storm chaser Kate (Edgar-Jones), who's haunted by a traumatic tornado encounter from her past. Her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos, Hamilton) brings her back to the field to test a groundbreaking new tracking system, but these scientific powerhouses soon cross paths — and butt heads — with social media-famous storm chaser Tyler (Powell).

Differences in ideologies will be the least of their worries as storm season gets underway. The latest Twisters trailer promises meteorological mayhem like you've never seen before: twin tornadoes, fire tornadoes, tornadoes with... fireworks inside them? Will our intrepid crew be able to ride out the storm?

Twisters hits theaters July 19.
