Uber safety study shows drivers, riders experience sexual assault at similar rates

Based on data compiled in 2017 and 2018, Uber found that over 5,000 sexual assaults occurred against drivers and riders over the two-year period. Now, the share-riding app is seeking ways to decrease these numbers moving forward.
