The Weekend Update returns for another season on Saturday Night Live with a special visit from Senate Minority leader Mitch McConnell (James Austin Johnson) and Herschel Walker (Kenan Thompson).

Weekend Update host Michael Che has brought the two "peas in a bag," as Walker says, to discuss the 2022 midterm elections. Most importantly, the pair have come to discuss Walker's bizarre way of speaking and if he's a qualified candidate, to begin with.

"There's too many to name," says McConnell, who's being perfectly impersonated by James Austin Johnson. "First, he plays football and Georgia loves football."

If that isn't qualification enough, we don't know what is.
