A new trailer for HBO's Westworld series popped up on Sunday night just before Game of Thrones and this time we get a better look at the androids, the humans and the tense balance of power between the two.
Based on the '70s science fiction film directed by Michael Crichton, the new version of Westworld has already won rave reviews from those who got early looks at the footage at the ATX festival earlier this month. The most consistent comments revolve around how edgy the series looks, which should come as no surprise considering the high-caliber actors involved including Ed Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton and Jeffrey Wright.
Not much beyond the original plot -- a resort for humans featuring humanoid robots -- is revealed, but several scenes indicate that these robots have a lot more going on in their electronic brains than pleasuring humans.
The series kicks off in October.
