When Evil Lurks' teaser trailer has arrived, offering a glimpse at the upcoming rural horror film. It also serves as a reminder to leave the handling of malevolent supernatural entities to the professionals.

The film follows brothers Pedro (Ezequiel Rodríguez) and Jimmy (Demián Salomón), who discover that local livestock are being poisoned by a demonic presence at a nearby farm. The duo thus take it upon themselves to solve the problem by attempting an exorcism.

Unfortunately, this is one instance where a can-do attitude does more harm than good. Instead of banishing the entity, the brothers' botched amateur exorcism kicks off a plague of possessions across their community, forcing them to search for a way to stop the supernatural epidemic.

When Evil Lurks arrives in theatres on Oct. 6, before coming to Shudder on Oct. 27.
